On 12/9/25 Alexis George resigned her position as a member of the Governing Board of the Jacoby Creek School District.

On 1/12/26, the Governing Board provisionally appointed Lucas Vought to serve the remainder of the terms (until December, 2026).

Unless a petition calling for a special election pursuant to Education Code 5091 is filed in the office of the County Superintendent of Schools within 30 days of the provisional appointment

The Jacoby Creek School District Board of Trustees is currently seeking a person interested in filing for a position as a school trustee.  The vacancy was created by the resignation of a current trustee.  The newly appointed trustees will serve through November 2026. Elected trustee will take office on January 13, 2025.

There will be a Public Hearing regarding the District Certification of Standards-Aligned Materials during the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees on October 13, 2025 at 7:15 p.m. in Room 21. Public comment is welcome and a review copy of the Board packet will be available for public inspection in the school district office or on the school district website on www.jcsk8.org.
