COVID Testing at School
PCR COVID-19 Testing on Thursdays
Our first week of testing went well. We learned a lot and I am hopeful that more students will register for next Thursday. If you are interested in having your child tested weekly at JCS please complete the attached registration and consent form. You do not have to enter your insurance information. You can mark uninsured if you do not want your insurance to be billed.
A few notes about the PCR testing:
Even if you sign your child up, if they are not comfortable testing, we will not require them to do so.
The students swab their own noses unless they ask for help from the nurse.
The cost of the nurse being paid is separate from our school’s budget. The USA Medical LLC company is contracted and they are paid through the CARES Act.
RAPID Antigen COVID-19 Testing
Rapid Binax Testing: This antigen test is used for students who have symptoms, have had an exposure, or are playing on an athletic team. The results are returned in 15 minutes and can allow students to shorten quarantine after exposure. Make sure that you register your child’s information, not yours. Also, make sure you get all the way through to the consent.
Please use this link to register your child for rapid testing at school.
